At Wings of Freedom International, we believe every woman deserves to live free from violence and build a dignified future. Our work combines immediate assistance, personalized support, and economic empowerment, creating real paths toward independence.
The organization was born from the personal experience of our founder, Bianca Gavarrete, who witnessed fear and violence in her childhood home. That painful experience ignited a commitment in her: to offer other women what her mother needed at the time—a safe place to start over.
Today, that vision has become a network of support and transformation. Wings of Freedom International is more than an NGO: it is a space where every story matters, where every woman finds the strength to spread her wings and reclaim her freedom.

Like the caterpillar that shelters itself in its chrysalis, many survivors have felt trapped by fear and violence. Our emergency and shelter programs symbolize that protective stage: a safe space to heal, regain strength, and start anew.
The moment the butterfly breaks its cocoon and opens to the world embodies regained freedom. Through workshops, support, and community programs, we help every woman regain confidence, skills, and the certainty that her story does not end in abuse, but begins in hope.
Finally, its open wings symbolize new opportunities. Through training and economic empowerment projects, we encourage women to create, undertake, and dream without limits, building a dignified future for themselves and their families.
