Emergency Assistance
We provide emergency assistance based on urgency, available funding, and individual circumstances. Support may include temporary hotel accommodations, safety planning, resource referrals, and guidance for next steps.
Personalized Support
Every survivor’s situation is unique. We take time to understand individual needs, risks, and goals to help identify appropriate resources, support options, and pathways toward safety and stability.
Economic Empowerment Through Education & Opportunity
As part of our Economic Empowerment Program, we connect participants with educational resources and professional development opportunities through platforms such as Coursera and other recognized learning providers. These resources offer access to courses, certificates, and career-focused training developed by leading universities and industry organizations.
When funding is available, Wings of Freedom International may provide financial assistance to help eligible participants obtain professional certifications or complete selected educational programs. Availability of this support depends on program funding and individual circumstances.
Please Note: Educational sponsorships, certification assistance, and other forms of financial support are subject to available funding, program capacity, and individual eligibility requirements. Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and assistance cannot be guaranteed.
Global Resource Network
Through our international resource network, we connect survivors with verified organizations, crisis services, shelters, counseling resources, and support programs in more than 120 countries. Resources are shared privately to help protect survivor safety.
Workshops and Live Talks
Our workshops and live talks provide practical tools, professional guidance, and safe learning spaces for survivors, families, and community members.
Through sessions led by psychologists, social workers, advocates, and guest specialists, we address topics such as:
• Trauma recovery and healing
• Personal safety and safety planning
• Healthy relationships
• Domestic violence awareness
• Economic empowerment
• Mental health and resilience
These programs are designed to strengthen knowledge, build confidence, and provide resources that support recovery, personal growth, and long-term well-being.
Resilience Community
Through community conversations and shared learning experiences, survivors can connect with others, find encouragement, reduce isolation, and build resilience throughout their healing journey.
WFI SAFE AT HOME PROGRAM

A NEW HOME-SAFETY RESOURCE FOR SURVIVORS
Wings of Freedom International is proud to introduce the WFI Safe at Home Program, a new initiative providing smart home-security cameras at no cost to eligible domestic-violence survivors in the Greater Houston area.
The program was created to offer survivors an additional layer of awareness and peace of mind as they rebuild their lives after separating from an abusive partner.
LEAVING DOES NOT ALWAYS END THE FEAR
For some survivors, reaching a new home does not immediately restore a sense of safety.
Concerns involving stalking, harassment, threats, unwanted visits, or the possibility that an abusive former partner may appear at the residence can continue after separation.
An unexpected knock at the door can carry a very different meaning for someone who has experienced abuse.
Through the WFI Safe at Home Program, an eligible survivor may receive a security camera that can help them see who may be approaching their home, receive motion notifications, and make a more informed decision before opening the door.
It is a practical resource intended to support greater awareness, control, and peace of mind at home.
WHO THE PROGRAM SERVES
The program is intended for adult domestic-violence survivors who:
- Live within the Greater Houston area.
- Are living separately from the person causing the safety concern
- Have concerns involving stalking, harassment, threats, unwanted visits, or similar conduct.
- Can safely and appropriately use a security camera at their residence
A police report or protective order is not required to request assistance.
Program assistance is limited and based on eligibility, individual circumstances, and camera availability.
PRIVACY AND DIGNITY
The privacy, safety, and dignity of every participant are central to the WFI Safe at Home Program.
Each participant will create and control their own private camera account. Wings of Freedom International will not request participants’ passwords or routinely access their camera recordings.
Participants’ names, addresses, personal histories, application information, and program participation will remain confidential and will not be shared with donors.
AN ADDITIONAL RESOURCE
A security camera may provide greater awareness and peace of mind, but it cannot prevent violence or guarantee protection.
It does not replace emergency services, law enforcement, a protective order, legal assistance, an individualized safety plan, or support from a qualified domestic-violence advocate.
