Stories and Purpose
The story of our founder, Bianca Gavarrete, is the driving force behind Wings of Freedom International. Her childhood was marked by domestic violence, an experience that left deep scars but also a strong determination: to transform pain into hope for others.
From that experience came the conviction to create a safe and transformative space for women and children survivors. Wings of Freedom International was born with the purpose of providing shelter, comprehensive support, and tools to rebuild lives and open paths to new opportunities.
Today, her testimony is the foundation of our institutional purpose: to show that human resilience can break cycles of violence and open horizons of freedom and dignity.
